What does this mean, many of you may be asking yourselves as you scratch your dandruff-free (or dandruff-laden I ain't judgin') heads. Well, I'll tell ya, after the recent New York Comic Con, I realized something very important. That being, it is WAY PAST time I got my ass back to work on this little thing I call Wild Oasis!, the comic masterpiece that's been putting itself together in my mind, in character design illos and on paper for over a freakin decade. I've been doing the Luscious Curvitude since 2004 and the EssBee Girls just kinda took over my focus and most of my sketch books, but it's time for Wild Oasis! That Exclamation point, by the way, is part of the title. Why? Because there's just THAT MUCH going on with this incredibly action packed, funny, sexy and wild ride, I guarantee it! As a matter of fact, if you're on Spotify, I created a couple of playlists to help me get into the right frame of mind to get on my job, so look for me and check them out! They're titled Wild Oasis: The Bob Marley Mix & Wild Oasis: Action! and since the story is set in the Caribbean, you can guess the musical flavor of the playlists. So check them out, subscribe to those, cause they kick much ass. Oh, you'll find me under Pumkin Escobar, y'know, the same as my facebook.

He commented on one of my girls one day and I went to peep his gallery and definitely liked what I saw. So one afternoon while commenting on one of his pieces, I asked him about the chances that folks might see some of his lovely ladies in color. Well, he responded that he had yet to get involved in the digital painting aspect of things, so I asked if he'd mind me laying some paints over one of his pieces in photoshop. Well, he liked the idea and I chose a piece from his gallery... This is DEELISHES...

My main scanner is acting all fuckin wonky and so I had to fall back on my older model and the old Epson just couldn't do my baby's colors the proper justification. So I'd been thinking about, musing upon, capturing the incredible London Andrews for some time now. I originally planned to do an original illo based upon a pose born in my imagination and imbued with her proportions and likeness, but then she posted this image on her blog...

and I was like...THAT'S it. So I started scribbling yesterday evening and after some fits and starts I was finished somewhere about six in the AM. I'm pretty sure I'll be splashing some color on this piece soon enough, so when I do, I'll be sure to drop it like it's hot. Enjoy all, and London, this one's for U!

Recently Miss Stacey Owens bda Staceytron held an art jam on deviantART calling for artists' renditions of her popular character (based on her own curvaceous likeness), also named Staceytron. A being of pure sensual, sexual and creative energy, her curves (be they real or exaggerated) have inspired many artists on dA and I am no exception, but more so, I have been seduced by the imagination of this siren from Down Under. I call her writings describing the myth of Staceytron pure Geek Poetry. Below is my art jam entry, entitled DOWNLOADING...

Yes, it's true, I've been rather delinquent in my updates to this blog-O-mine in recent months. but fear not, true believers, for change gon' come! What have I been up to? Just dealing with the every day that is my life. Y'know, part-time gig that isn't all it's cracked up to be, dealing with my parents' health concerns and all that goes with that, and my brain being inundated with so many ideas that it causes a work backlog/system freeze. I'll toss up a sketch of something I call "Brolic Panda" in the near future... I think it's hilarious, I think U all will as well. But that's in the offing... Let's talk about NOW! I'm going to post something that hasn't been upped on dA, or in my Yahoo group (yeah, I got a yahoo group for my art; what, U ain't knowin?) So Imma dig thru my vast stash of goodness and put somethin up... maybe a COUPLE pieces, even...

Yeah. More doodles from my lil 3x5 mini pad while riding some form of NYC transit. Sometimes those rides can get a lil bumpy... Especially the bus.

1 is just a sketch of a big, hippy chick just kinda mussing her hair about and such. I tried to get it done without lifting my pencil off the paper as little as I could. 2 is a quick sketch of what turned out to be my Easter pinup for 2008, Fluffy the Chocolate Bunny. 3 is just a sexy chick w/a head fulla curly locks and 4 is the early sketch for Jasamine, which I should probably get around to coloring sometime soon...

yeah, these are just some random scribblings/sketches that I did on the subway on the way to the J-O. Gotta spend that time on the platform doin somethin, right? Right. I knew U'd agree...

So they're numbered, yeah. #1 is a sketch that I've been working on for a new version of "Love Thyself". I have a line drawing done, but I dunno how I feel about it just yet... Eh. maybe I'll post that too. #2 is a juicy lil something kinda inspired by the style of the great Ruben Esq. Love that cat's ladies. Legendary. #3 is a very early scribble of a pose that I was testing out while ridin the #3 train. Eh. Maybe I'll revisit her at a later date. Okay. Seriouslythese pages are like 3"x5". Talk about space management! As U can see on #4, I kinda misjudged. But I like what happened from the lips on down...

Yes, I know, it's been quite a while since I've dropped a post on the ol' blogspot, but trust me, I been busy! So here's what's up. I've been gettin back to my artistic roots in terms of style for the ladies of W2O. The character designs that are up on the W2O deviantART page are more or less from 1999, when I was trying on a different style, particularly on the ladies. Trust me, I NEVER penciled women that waifish before! But that's all yesterday's news cause the redesigns have brought me back home. So here I am, minding the birthday cake at my younger brother's 30th birthday bash when I get this urge to draw. I get a pen from my older brother, grab a stack of paper plates (which were there for the cake) and start doodling away. I'm just flexing some poses at this point, trying things on to see if I might wanna expand on 'em. I do five doodles on five plates and then I get this idea for some quick EssBee Girl hits in colored pencil on paper plates. I haven't broken out the Derwents in AGES! The Quintessential EssBee is officially on the air! Why the title? Simply put, although my big girls will likely spend a lot of time on center stage here, this blog will be about ALL of my artistic endeavors. I've got a comic book that I've been developing for a little while by the name of Wild Oasis!, and yes, the question mark is part of the title. I've got other writings that I've been working on as well, graphic novels, short stories and such. The trouble for me is, I have difficulty focusing on the writing and the drawing at the same time. Talk about a mixed bag, but eh, what are ya gonna do, right? Creativity is a gift and ya gotta take it as it comes. So as it keeps coming, I'll keep going! So I'll be sharing some art and some writing and stuff, but MOSTLY ART, cause I know that's what the kiddies like these days. Thanks for dropping by, and... Stay tooned!
